Ashok Lav on Radio Dwarka

Renowned writer and poet Dr Ashok Lav was interviewed by Redio Dwarka, New Delhi. Prashant Bhagwat interviewed Dr Ashok Lav on 26th September at his residence at Dwarka ,New Delhi.
Dr Ashok Lav has written more than hundred books. Many students have done M Phil on his novel and collection of poems.

‘Sukh Dukh Ke Sathee’Sanstha, an association of senior citizens dedicated for social cause, celebrated its Annual Day on 22nd September 2013 with full gusto in Community Hall of Chitrakoot Apartments in Sector-22, Dwarka (Delhi).
A mesmerising ‘Kavi Sammelan’ was also organised by the Sanstha on this occasion, with the help of ‘Society for Creatives’. The secretary of Hindi Academy Delhi, Dr.Hari Suman Bisht, who himself is a renowned poet and writer, was the chief guest in this poetic meet where as Mr. Rajesh Gehlot, Chairman Standing Committee SDMC, participated as a guest of honour. Famous poetess, Dr. Kirti Kale not only conducted the poetry meet, but also enthralled the audience with her touching poems which she rendered in a powerful and melodious voice. Dr. Ashok Lav, a well-known writer, who has written more than a 100 books in Hindi, read poems from his books, and summed up the meet with his comments on the poets, in his presidential address. Dr Shabana Nazir and Ashok Verma famous for their ghazals as well as Satya Dev Haryanvi, the famous humorous poet, recited various creations in their characteristic styles and earned appreciation of the audience.

The highlight of the event was the release of a poetry book  "ज़िन्दगी मेरी नज़र में" and a video Punjabee album : "याद तेरी आई" of Virendra Kumar Mansotra by the Chief Guest. Prem Bihari Mishra’s rendition of his meaning-laden poems in a musical way provoked prolonged applause. Around a dozen poets attended the meet and presented their works: amongst them were Dr.Prasannanshu of the National Law University, Suresh Yadav, Anil Upadhyay, Anurag Ranjan Singh, Col Prem Chand Choudaryand Kulvinder Singh Kang. The TV Channel ‘DD India’ of Doordarshan will telecast copious glimpses of this poetry meet on 4th October 2013 at 11.00 a.m., 18.30 p.m. and 02.00 am (next day) in the programme ‘Yours Truly’.

Ashok Lav honored by Vijay Shankar Singh

Well known Hindi litterateur Ashok Lav honored with ' Hindi Sahitya Sevi Samman-2013 ' for his contribution in Hindi literature. Ashok Lav has written more than hundred books. Eight students got MPhil degrees on the works of Ashok Lav. He was honored with a Samman-Patra and memento on 22nd September 2013 by the president of ' Sukh-Dukh Ke Saathi' an organisation run by senior citizens. Earlier a Kavi-Sammelan was organised which was presided by Shri Ashok Lav.

अशोक लव ' हिंदी साहित्य सेवी सम्मान-2013' से सम्मानित

वरिष्ठ साहित्यकार डॉ अशोक लव को ' हिंदी साहित्य सेवी सम्मान-2013 ' से अलंकृत किया गया. वरिष्ठ नागरिकों की संस्था ' सुख-दुःख के साथी ' द्वारा द्वारका, नई दिल्ली में 22 सितंबर 2013 को आयोजित सम्मान-समारोह में संस्था के अध्यक्ष श्री विजय शंकर सिंह ने डॉ अशोक लव को सम्मान-पत्र और स्मृति-चिह्न भेंट करके सम्मानित किया. इससे पूर्व डॉ अशोक लव की अध्यक्षता में कवि-सम्मलेन का आयोजन किया गया. 
डॉ  अशोक लव की साहित्यिक और शैक्षिक लगभग सौ से अधिक पुस्तकें प्रकाशित हो चुकी हैं.

Air Force Wives Welfare Association organised  English and Hindi Declamation Contest at Air Force Auditorium, Subroto Park,New Delhi on 6th September 2013. Mrs Kiran Browne wife of Air Chief Marshal NAK Browne , was the Chief Guest. Mr Ashok Lav, Mrs Neelam Kapoor and Dr GS Upadhyay were judges. An impressive cultural show was presented by the students of AFSS School,Race Course,New Delhi.

लड़कियाँ छूना चाहती हैं आसमान

--अशोक लव

लड़कियाँ छूना चाहती हैं आसमान
परंतु उनके पंखों पर बाँध दिए गए हैं
परंपराओं के पत्थर
ताकि वे उड़ान न भर सकें
और कहीं छू ना लें आसमान.

लड़कियों की छोटी-छोटी ऑंखें
देखती हैं बड़े बड़े स्वप्न
वे देखती हैं आसमान को
आँखों ही आँखों में
नापती हैं उसकी ऊँचाइयों को.

जन्म लेते ही
परिवार में जगह बनाने के लिए
हो जाता है शुरू उनका संघर्ष
और हो जाती है ज्यों ज्यों बड़ी
उनके संघर्ष का संसार बढ़ता जाता है.

गाँवों की लड़कियाँ
कस्बों-तहसीलों की लड़कियाँ
नगरों महानगरों की लड़कियाँ,
लड़कियाँ तो लड़कियाँ ही होती है
उनके के लिए जंजीरों के नाप
एक जैसे ही होते हैं.

लड़कियाँ पुरुषों की माँद में घुसकर
उन्हें ललकारना चाहती हैं
वे उन्हें अंगड़ाई लेते समय से
परिचित कराना चाहती हैं.

पुरुष उनके हर कदम के आगे
खींच देते हैं लक्ष्मण रेखाएँ
लड़कियाँ जान गई  
पुरुषों के रावणत्व को
इसलिए वे
अपाहिज बन नहीं रहना चाहती बंदी
लक्ष्मण रेखाओं में
वे उन समस्त क्षेत्रों के चक्रव्यूह को भेदना
सीख रही हैं
जिनके रहस्य समेट रखे थे पुरुषों ने.

वे गाँवों की गलियों से लेकर
संसद के गलियारों तक की यात्रा करने लगीं हैं
उनके हृदयों में लहराने लगा है
समुद्र-सा उत्साह
अंधड़ों की गति से
वे मार्ग कि बाधाओं को उड़ाने में
होती जा रही हैं सक्षम.

वे आगे बढ़ना चाहती हैं
इसलिए पढ़ना चाहती हैं
गाँवों की गलियों से निकल
स्कूलों की  ओ़र जाती लड़कियों कि कतारों कि कतारें
सडकों पर साईकिलों की घंटियाँ बजाती
लड़कियों की कतारों की कतारें
बसों में बैठी
लड़कियों की कतारों की कतारें
लिख रही हैं नया इतिहास.

लोकल ट्रेनों-बसों से
कॉलेजों-दफ्तरों की ओ़र जाती लड़कियाँ
समय के पंखों पर सवार होकर
बढ़ रहीं हैं छूने आसमान.

उन्होंने सीख लिया है-

पुरुषपक्षीय परंपराओं के चिथड़े-चिथड़े करना
उन्होंने कर लिया है निश्चय
बदलने का अर्थों को-
उन तमाम ग्रंथों में रचित

लड़कियों विरोधी गीतों का
जिन्हें रचा था पुरुषों ने
अपना वर्चस्व बनाये रखने के लिए.

लडकियाँ
अपने रक्त से लिख रही हैं
नए गीत
वे पसीने की स्याही में डुबाकर देहें
रच रही हैं
नए ग्रंथ.

वे खूब नाच चुकी हैं
पुरुषों के हाथों की कठपुतलियाँ बनकर
पुरुषों ने कहा था-लेटो
वे लेट जाती थीं
पुरुषों ने कहा था-उठो
वे उठ जाती थीं
पुरुषों के कहा था-झूमो
वे झूम जाती थीं.

अब लड़कियों ने थाम लिए हैं
कठपुतलियाँ नचाते
पुरुषों के हाथ
वे अब उनके इशारों पर
न लेटती हैं
न उठती हैं
न घूमती हैं
न झूमती हैं.

वे पुरुषों के एकाधिकार के तमाम क्षेत्रों में
करने लगी हैं प्रवेश
लहराने लगी हैं उन तमाम क्षेत्रों में
अपनी सफलताओं के ध्वज  
गाँवों-कस्बों,नगरों-महानगरों की लड़कियों का
यही है अरमान-
वे अब छू ही लेंगी आसमान.
